"Industrial Collapse" by Bird By Snow – archival 7-inch EP
Released in 2006, and thought to be sold out not long after, these original 7-inches were recently unearthed in an unmarked box in our storage space! The covers are handprinted woodcuts made by Fletcher Tucker. Limited edition of 300, we have a stack of ~50. And we are selling them for the original 2006 price of seven bucks (one dollar an inch)!
Original description from 2006
Two sides of total existential rebirth! Placental for you and bird by snow, a 7 inch baby of the cosmos, belching new sounds, and visions. Replete with new-metal guitar tones, falsetto cave paintings, and gasoline-riot guitar solos (think Blue Cheer in Thunderdome). Begging the question what is paradise? A waterfall? Or a burning city? Each cover is hand printed from a wood block by bird by snow, at no extra cost to you. Limited to 300.
{recorded at home on 8-track cassette tape.}
Original reviews from 2006
"...featuring two songs, the fuzz-folk of “No Beard No”, a primitive stomp with some fine guitar and a sense of dynamics that deserves the play loud epitaph written on the label. On the other side “Chew Your Fucking Legs Off (If You Have To)”, is a depressed garage Neil Young ballad, with some plaintive vocals and a melancholic heart that suits itself perfectly to the play quiet epitaph written on the label. Once again the artwork is of a high standard creating a wonderful package that is a credit to both artist and label." - Simon Lewis, Terrascope
"this single finds our man by the sea drifting out into weird waves of lost, waterlogged, Muppety nights of the soul. “No Beard Now” shakes itself to pieces on an aggro electro-blues noise sesh, while “Chew Your Fucking Leg Off (If You Have To)” channels Alastair Galbraith by way of a hemp bracelet and a votive candle; frigidly warming slow folk-psych tumble." - Dave Mozurak, Dusted Magazine
